Praise God for a good day for Cara. Her blood sugars are remaining in good range. Kidney function indicators are also looking much better. She is slowly improving and the doctors are happy with her progress. Tomorrow the surgical team meets in the morning to discuss and schedule the operations for the week.
It appears that putting her on the breathing machine (respirator) has helped, which is great, but it means we cannot hold her for the time being. We still love sitting beside her and talking to her, spending time together as a family.
Our prayer request today is that she will continue to improve so that surgery can happen as soon as possible.
"For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness" Lamentations 3:22b-23
Hi Alex and Julianne, We are so happy to hear that Cara's condition is stabilizing. She was working so hard on her own it was becoming too difficult. We will pray the rest she is getting on the ventilator and IV nutrition will allow her little body to strengthen quickly and the surgery will happen soon. Hugs to you all.
ReplyDeleteI pray that you will be lifted up during the very difficult moments, and experience much joy when there is good news. My heart aches for you, and Julianne and Cara. I pray that her levels will be stable enough for surgery very soon, and that the Lord will guide the hands of all those who care for Cara. Cling to the One who loves Cara more than you ever could!
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to share this song with you guys.

If that link doesn't work, it is on youtube, called "Laura's Story Blessings".
I can't imagine what your family is going through, but I pray that you are comforted with the knowledge that God is in control.
