September 24, 2011

Yesterday morning the respiratory therapists decided to take her off the CPAP machine to see how long she can comfortably breath without it. She has been off since then and still doing well. We give thanks for this because it is what the doctors want to see before they decide to move her out of critical care.
Also, you may remember that stabilizing Cara's blood sugars was quite a challenge and concern prior to surgery. Since then, she has been balancing her sugar levels well on her own. The endocrine team is no longer involved in her care. This was a specific prayer request in the weeks past and God has answered in a great and  clear way.

"I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; He heard my cry for mercy. Because He turned His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live." Psalm 116:1,2
