There was a last minute decision by the surgical team to not proceed with Cara's surgery today. Her blood sugars did stabilize, but because they had spiked so high yesterday it caused difficulty with her kidneys. The surgeons want her kidneys in better condition before such an intensive surgery. Cara has been sent to the intensive care unit where they can better manage improving her kidney function. She will likely be there for the weekend. This was very difficult news for us coming at the last minute.
Words seem so empty at a time like this. May you know God's comfort and peace. We will continue to uphold all of you in prayer.

We too were very disappointed to hear of Cara's surgery cancellation. Today I was reminded that "God makes everything beautiful in his time." I pray that this too will give you His peace as you wait. Praying for you all throughout the day. Hugs for you both and Cara.
